Why is Joe not punishing Mohammed Bin Salman for murdering Jamal Khasshogi?

For reasons most shallow-thinkers will not understand.

MBS is a thug to be sure but he is not a stupid man, nor is his father the king. MBS wanted to kill Khashoggi and Jamal knew this. Why does that matter? Well, we have secret bases in Saudi Arabia which means we are effectively propping up a totalitarian state. Because our nation has Republicans who serve oil companies, they have done everything imaginable to keep us dependent on oil.

Since Saudi Arabia is the biggest producer, access to their oil is something our economy needs. If we as a nation were free from the fetters of big oil and instead had an entire grid of renewable energy, we would not have to be beholden to OPEC for anything.

The significance of this fact cannot be overstated and it is prima facie evidence of why Republican servility to big oil undermines our nation’s security. Their intransigence on renewable energy is not just stupid, it’s evil on many levels.

What do you assess are the chances that MBS spoke to Jared or Trump about killing Khashoggi?
