The Republican Civil War Is My Jam

I’ve been having the most pleasant last two days because at this point, the only thing Republicans are doing is showing just how bloody awful they are on every score. Tonight Joe put on a clinic as to why they should never be given power or responsibility for anything without saying so much as a word about it.

If you asked anyone today what the most important political anecdote ever said in your lifetime, some would cite FDR’s ‘the only thing we have to fear is fear itself.’ Others might say, ‘ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country.’ For me it was, ‘Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall’, until tonight.

For me, “Nobody should go to jail for drug offenses” was the most important thing said since FDR by any president. We’ve all suffered in so many ways from Nixon’s cruel nazi spirit that drives that utter failure of a drug war he started. Joe shoved a harpoon in that barbaric notion that drug use is a criminal matter instead of a health care matter last night.

That evil war has corrupted our judicial system from top to bottom and destroyed the lives of millions of people here and abroad. We’ve sprayed dioxin all over the globe causing cancer and grotesque birth defects you can’t imagine attempting to stop the flow of drugs into this country.
